Axel is a download accelerator that speeds up your download speed by 60% (tested). It maximizes the internet connection and downloads your films/images/musics/documents as fastest as possible. With a good internet quality you can download contents at the speed of light, I personally testify to this.

To use this amazing feature, open your terminal using ctrl + alt + t, then install axel using:

sudo apt install axel

Copy the link location of the item you wish to download then run:

axel -n specificNetworkSpeed -a itemLink/url

You put a particular number in replacement of specificNetworkSpeed and replace itemLink/url with the actual link, hit enter and you’ll get your file(s) in no time.

Goodluck!
